Sea turtle nests are hatching

During this nesting season, Fort Myers Beach has been fortunate to have received 74 nests. Since baby turtles are now hatching from these nests, it's critical to stay vigilant about protecting the nests and the paths that the hatchlings take to get safely to the Gulf. Representatives from the District have treated Fort Myers Beach by vehicle and on foot several times since rainy season started and will continue to. However, if you see an area that needs attention, please report it in one of the following ways:

1. Call the Fort Myers Beach office at 239-463-6350

2. Email the Fort Myers Beach office at  fmbmctd@gmail.com
